Snowed In

We’re having a somewhat belated white Christmas here – the blizzard started yesterday – so instead of heading to the the Music for Aardvarks Snow Ball like we had planned, we’re snuggled up and having a movie marathon. *That* will only fly for about one day, though, before we start getting cabin fever, so hopefully it clears up so we can get on with our adventuring.

Mommy and I have finally kicked out colds, so we spent the holiday weekend without drippy noses for a change. If Thanksgiving is Grammy Boo’s holiday, then Christmas is for sure Grandma’s; it starts out on Christmas Eve for Walk Around the Table – our annual family tradition of appetizers and holiday movies. Then, we head over for a yummy Christmas breakfast of bagels with appetizing: two kinds of lox, sable, and sturgeon, in addition to regular cream cheese and whitefish salad. Grandma also made panettone bread pudding and fruit compote, which was my favorite. After all that, you’d think we’d be done eating, but not so much – we went over to Uncle David and Aunt Angela’s house for Christmas dinner: prime rib, baked ziti & meatballs, twice baked potatoes, and asparagus with hollandaise sauce. It was all low fat.

Remember how Mommy was a total fail at taking pictures for Thanksgiving? Well, it’s becoming a somewhat embarrassing holiday tradition. Luckily, the paparazzi Aunt Rebecca was there, so she took a bunch and promised to email them to Mommy.

Yesterday, we went over to Grammy Boo and Coach’s house for leftovers.
That? is my new CAR from Uncle Matt. It. is. AWESOME. And, apparently, now I’m a car collector because Grandma & Grandpa got me a supercool ride-on fire truck! There will be tons of pics of that in a later post, since that lives at my house (also? I have a fireman’s hat. These are CUTE pictures, people.), but my red corvette is garaged at Grammy Boo’s.

I got the hang of pushing the button to GO fairly quickly, but steering took a little more getting used to. Here’s me running over Grammy Boo:

Don’t worry; it’ll be a l-o-n-g time ’til I get my driver’s license! I hope everyone else had a great weekend, too.
