So, this morning did not go well…
It started out normally enough; I had a breakfast bottle and played with Mommy for a while. Then I got cranky and fought napping for a while before finally going for a snooze in my swing.
Mommy took that opportunity to get my bottles ready for the day and then hopped in the shower. She was not quite done when the doorbell rang. She thought it was the UPS man or something so she ignored it. It rang again and she was annoyed because the dumb UPS man was going to interrupt my nap… and then whoever was at the door started banging! So she yelled she was coming, yanked on her robe, almost killed herself running across the tile to the door, and peeked through the peephole.
It was not the UPS man, but a police officer (Cop Joe) standing in the hall. Uh oh, Mommy thought, we’re going to get a fine or something for keeping our boots in the hallway where Henry can’t get them… She opened the door, hair dripping, and expected to get a ticket or something.
Cop Joe asked if she owned a ’99 Honda Civic. Turns out, he wasn’t here about the shoes – someone STOLE two of Mommy’s tires right off her car in the parking lot!

Mommy’s mad. 1) Someone stole her tires. Really? Who DOES that? Plus, we had places to go today! 2) Her shower was ruined. She threw some clothes on and scraped her hair into a damp ponytail so she could go down and file the incident report and whatnot. 3) My nap was cut short; Daddy came home for lunch just as Mommy was getting ready to go outside and talk to Cop Joe, but when he had to go back to work he had to bring me outside to her. I do NOT like being woken up.
