I am disappointed with my tweeps this morning – usually they have such great advice and suggestions, but my question today was met with silence.
Our plan WAS to leap in the car as soon as Daddy came home from summer school and race to Jones Beach or Robert Moses for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it is raining and thundering and lightning out… We still want to do something fun, though!
What should we do? Suggest your favorite rainy day activity in the NYC metro area/lower hudson valley.

umm same here! my friend and I were going to do Queens Zoo (well we were going to do Manhattan Chldrens museum but its closed on Mondays) so alternatives are LI Childrens Museum, NY Hall of Science, or lunch/Barnes and Noble!
