Given my choice, I would spend ALL of my time with Mommy… She hands me off sometimes when she’s trying to eat or sleep or spend 5 minutes by herself, but I’m never happier than when she’s holding me. Daddy says I’m a bit of a Mama’s boy.
Of all the non-Mommies, though, I have a clear favorite. This non-Mommy has the power to put a smile on my face *whenever* he walks into the room, even in the midst of my worst teething tantrums.
“Oh,” I see you nodding and smiling to yourself, “must be Daddy.”
Not so much.
This is my bestest best friend, Henry. He is my big brother, and the only one who spends as much time on the floor as me.
Let me tell you a little bit about the best puppy in the world. He is a one-year-old Wheaten Terrier; he has hair instead of fur which means he doesn’t aggravate Daddy’s allergies OR shed all over the house.
Some of Henry’s favorite activities include stealing and shredding the toilet paper, taking my socks right off my feet, and napping on the couch (Grammy does NOT approve). Sometimes he tries to get my socks while I am on my jumperoo, which is not the best idea because I am, you know, jumping, and the plastic edge bounces down on his head. It doesn’t seem to bother him.
Daddy says Henry is much more protective since I came around and about 17 times a day he goes on red alert, barking and growling at the intruders UPS men in the hallway.
Henry also likes to watch the dog show on television, and his favorite movie is Bolt.
Here is a video of Henry making sure he enjoys every last drop of his ice cream. (Excuse the poor quality – it’s from Daddy’s iPhone.)
