Sunday Style

Six nights a week, Mommy gets up whenever I do. But on Sunday? On Sunday, Daddy and I have bonding time.

Which results in some interesting attire for me on Sundays… Last winter, Mommy woke up to find Daddy in a sweatshirt and wrapped in a blanket, and me in fleece sweatpants – and a short sleeved t-shirt. Sometimes Daddy even forgets my pants. It doesn’t bother me any, and I have the *most* fun with Daddy, but it makes Mommy giggle.

For example, yesterday Daddy started out with my Jets shirt, which was a good plan since football seemed to be some sort of theme for the day and I don’t have a Steelers jersey.

This is not from yesterday, but it shows the shirt I’m talking about.

The shirt came as a set with a pair of pants, but they’re still too big for me. I guess my jeans were in the wash or something, though, because Daddy picked a pair of black sweats – with red trim. Next, he added some socks to the outfit. Brown socks. (Daddy’s a little color blind – he though they were green.) The kicker (kicker! HA. ::gigglesnort::) was my shoes, which Daddy put on the wrong feet.

Mommy fixed my shoes before this pic was taken.

My fashion faux pas did not make my day any less fun – I went to the Bear Mountain Zoo with Daddy, Uncle David, and Aunt Angela, and I even got to see Aunt Rebecca for a little while!

I’m not sure why Uncle David is making that face.

On a side note, Aunt Angela made me a ribbon mitten holder thingie so when I take my mittens off they don’t get lost any more. It does not make me any more apt to actually leave my mittens on my hands, but at least I always know where they are!

Finally, I wanted to give a little health update – thanks so much for everyone’s well wishes after Friday’s post! I went back to see Dr. Andy on Friday afternoon, and was already much improved so I didn’t have to take round the clock albuterol treatments anymore. We still have the nebulizer, but it’s only to be used as needed now. We have an appointment to go back today to see my progress from over the weekend, but hopefully I won’t need to take the prednisolone anymore either.

  1. First, I am so jealous that you get a morning off! I tried to have a morning off this past Sunday and instead had to get up, feed and dress Mason, and THEN had the morning off. Defeats the point!!

I see the zoo place has an ice skating rink! It would have been the perfect time to go skating!!

And I've said it before but I'll say it again? The matching hats melt me!!!

  2. Aw it looked like you were having a lot of fun with dad! My daughter can not wait til her dad comes home from work everyday and then they have their bonding time. And, this momma couldn't be prouder :).
