#62 – 1000 Awesome Things

Stepping Stones

When Daddy is home on vacation, we like to go on adventures, and this past week was no exception. We headed to IKEA on Monday, the zoo and Stew Leonards on Tuesday, and Mommy & Daddy had a date on Wednesday while I hung out with Coach. By *far* my favorite activity, though, was the Stepping Stones Museum!

This place? UH-MAZING. Cousin Meredith came with us and she will tell you that I was generally cranky both before and after our visit, but AT the museum? WOW. There is an entire *section* (not just a room, mind you, a SECTION) devoted to kids under 36 months.

Tot Town rocks.

Yeah, I drove a bus. AND? The horn actually went beep, beep when you pushed it!

I went up the stairs… (by myself, do you see?!)

…and down the slide.

Even the *walls* were fun to play with!

The other sections of the museum were not specifically geared to toddlers, but I had just as much fun there, anyway. ESPECIALLY in the Energy Section, where I spent a lot of time doing experiments at the water tables.

There was one exhibit, Healthyville, that had giant-sized dental and medical tools to examine – and there was a model of a set of teeth that was bigger than me! Mommy picked up the big toothbrush, which was roughly the size of my arm, and asked if I wanted to brush the toothies… So I took it from her and tried to put it in my mouth – I know how to brush my teeth!

I’m not sure why Mommy and Daddy thought that was so funny.

Anyway, Stepping Stones is within an hour of our house so we will DEFINITELY be back this winter – what an awesome trip!
