Spring has sprung!

I present the first outdoor flowers of the season:

Mommy and I took advantage of the long-awaited gorgeous weather and headed out for the day – can you guess where? Here’s a hint:

That’s right! Mommy took me to one of her very favorite places in the world, the Bronx Zoo!

We saw s, and s, and s, OH MY! The first thing we did when we got to the zoo was head over to Tiger Mountain, where we met Sasha, a 400 pound cat. He’s 10 feet tall on his hind legs!

After Tiger Mountain, we walked around the Asia and Africa sections of the zoo. Lots of animals weren’t on display today because it’s still a little too cold for them, but we had a great time exploring the indoor exhibits, like Jungle World! All over the zoo were signs announcing the baby animals – we didn’t get to see him, but apparently there’s a gazelle that shares my birthday! After wandering around 2 continents worth of animals, we headed over to the Dancing Crane Cafe for lunch. Mommy noticed a brand new vending machine: She decided to try out a knish for lunch and I got to play with the box.
It was a v-e-r-y long and exciting morning, so I took a nap while Mommy explored the Monkey House, saw the sea lions get fed, and checked out the new Madagascar exhibit. Finally, no zoo trip with Mommy would be complete without seeing some frogs, so here’s a waxy monkey one:

I can’t wait to go back! The Asia Monorail opens in May…
