Days out with Daddy

While Mommy was off hanging out with all our favorite bloggy friends, Daddy and I spent a lot of quality time together. Since Mommy is a stay at home mom, I spend most of my waking hours with her – and even on nights and weekends, when Daddy’s around, she’s there, too. It’s very rare for her to go off without me, and this weekend was the first time she left me alone for even ONE entire day, let alone two! Daddy and I both lived to tell the tale…

My weekend started out on Friday morning, watching Sesame Street with Grammy and Coach. Grammy made me a yummy smoothie with blueberries and yogurt and banana and orange juice. I *love* Elmo, but am not such a big fan of the Fairy Flying School – and Mommy thinks Mr. Noodle is a little creepy. I had SO much fun playing with Coach and crawling onto and off of the hearth over and over again, that I fell asleep right on the floor to take a nap.

Once I was rested, it was time for Daddy to come pick me up – and he took me out for pizza for lunch. We even had italian ices for dessert – yum! (Meals with Daddy: 1, Pizza served: 1). After we ate, we headed over to the zoo Petsmart, and I got to see all of the birds and fish and cats and lizards. I took another little nap [Mommy’s note: Two naps? In one day?!] and had an afternoon snack.

We went over to Uncle David and Aunt Angela’s house for dinner – salad and pizza – and Grandma and Aunt Rebecca came over, too (Meals with Daddy: 2, Pizza Served: 2). Aunt Rebecca took a video of Daddy teaching me a new song:

After dinner, Daddy and I went home and Daddy helped me get ready for bed. I started missing Mommy a little bit and only took a little nap before she came home.

On Saturday, we had a big breakfast before going to the beach with Grandma and Grandpa. The ocean was a little too cold and choppy for me, but I had such a great time playing in the sand all day!

We had turkey sandwiches and lots of fruit for lunch, but my FAVORITE was the Chipwich – cookies AND ice cream? Yum.

Daddy said I was going to ride in the trunk on the way home, but he was just teasing.

I was SO tired that I fell asleep and slept all through dinner – Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa had… pizza.

Meals with Daddy: 5, Pizza Served: 3.

Daddy wants to point out that the last pizza doesn’t count since I slept through it, and that I also had loads of fruits and veggies. And *I* would point out my Chipwich again. Which isn’t really relelvant, but anyway.

By the time we got home from our beach trip, Mommy was back from BlogHer and tucked me in to sleep.

I love spending time with Mommy, but we’re together ALL the time, so it’s nice to hang out with just Daddy every once in a while…especially if I’m craving a slice.
