I come from a family of voracious readers: Mommy used to smuggle books to camp and get in trouble for reading instead of playing recess. And Daddy is an English teacher – although he prefers to “read” audio-books in the car. Our house looks a little like a library!
So I come by my love for books honestly. At the moment, I take “appetite for reading” a little too literally:
I have books upon books upon books in my collection, as would be expected; from The Very Hungry Caterpillar (obviously) to a collection of Robert Frost poems, from Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to Return to Pooh Corner.
One of my very favorites is My Super Daddy, because guess who it’s about? Daddy! No, really, it’s about my Daddy – look:
That’s *my* Daddy – and he’s the star of the book! Handsome, right? Can you see where I get my good looks? He’s not even just on the front, either. He is on almost every page.
Not only do I love the pictures, but the story is really fun – it’s told in rhythm and rhyme, which is always a crowd pleaser, and it has just the right amount of silliness mixed in. Here’s my favorite page:

They start when I rise and don’t end ’til I rest.
They are hugs mixed with giggles and it’s not over-zealous
To say that they’d make a grizzly bear jealous.”
Daddy loves his book, too! I get to spend most of my time with Mommy during the day because she stays home with me and it’s nice to be able to “see” Daddy whenever I want. Here is another great picture:
