Mommy has issues

Last night, I fell asleep at 9:22PM. (5 diapers today: 4 wet, 1 dirty)
Last month, on the 14th, I fell asleep at 9:47PM. (4 diapers: 3 wet, 1 dirty)
On July 14th, I fell asleep at 9:24PM. (4 diapers: 3 wet, 1 dirty)

Want to know how much formula I’ve consumed in my entire life? Mommy could calculate it for you. She could tell you when my very first bath in the bathtub was (September 28, 2009) and that I’ve taken 76 baths in that bathtub in my lifetime. She has data points for every diaper change, every feeding, and every time I’ve gone to sleep and woken up.

You know those graph sheets they give you in the hospital for you to log to make sure you’re eating and everything? Mommy never stopped.

Let’s let that soak in. I am over a year old!

Aiding in her addiction is the first baby-related iPhone app she ever got: Total Baby. At $4.99, it is the most expensive app she’s ever purchased, but it is also BY FAR the most used. For the sleep-deprived mom of a newborn with eating difficulties? Indispensable.

This? is what the main screen looks like, but that’s not me. Obviously.

Mommy *highly* recommends this app for anyone looking for baby-tracking software. Not only does it keep track of those main categories, but you can also add in growth charts, doctor’s visits, vaccinations, milestones, and pretty much any other piece of information you might ever want.

But beware: it can be addicting.

  1. We are still using the hospital tracking sheets too! And now I have to go see if they make an Android ap similar to the iPhone one. It would probably be in everyone's best interest if they didn't. LOL

4 diapers?! I am so very jealous.

  2. That's awesome committment and dedication. I tracked things for 5 months and thought that was a long time! Whoever invented that app is genious! I would totally use it if I ever had another baby, which I'm not 🙂

  3. Sometimes I wish I took that detailed notes so I could keep things like naps tracked to see where patterns were. But then I realize that we're doing just fine without it, so I don't. But still, I do sometimes I wish I had that info…
