Mommy and I are still recovering from our colds and so we went to bed early last night. This morning was spent lounging around in my jammies and watching Sesame Street so this is going to be a super lazy post. Remember my Fall Field Trip list? Even though winter doesn’t *technically* begin until December 21, it snowed yesterday, so I figure it’s time to check in.
Children’s Museum of Manhattan
Ancient Playground @ Central Park
Apple Picking @ Warwick Valley Winery
day trip to Lake George
inflation of Thanksgiving Parade balloons
So, okay, we didn’t do such a great job… Mommy teaches rehearsals on weekday afternoons, so we have to be home by 3:00 – which cuts into the time available for day trips. I’m keeping my hopes up for the indoor stuff – the museums and such – but the playgrounds are going to have to wait until spring because, you guys? It’s cold out! (Of course, we won’t spend ALL of our time indoors – I’m looking forward to skiing with Coach for the first time this winter!) We’ll have much more time after Mommy’s show is over at the end of January. In the meantime, we stick close to home, but we’re almost never AT home – we have Music for Aardvarks on Mondays, storytimes on Tuesdays and sometimes Wednesdays, errands on Thursdays, and Tot Shabbat every other Friday. Add to the that some Daddy-time on Saturdays and craft fair shopping on Sundays and we’ve done a LOT despite not having crossed so much off our list.
We DO have a fun day trip planned for this Friday – Michele and Max and Mommy and I (and anyone else who wants to join us) are going to Alice’s Tea Cup for lunch and then on to the Central Park Zoo for Winterfest!
i know its winter in my book. maybe a trip to rock center soon? I need to see the tree!!!
