This was supposed to be posted last Friday, but Mommy and I were both sick and we just failed at life in general last week so here it it, late.
Also? We don’t actually have any decorations. SAD! We usually have a tree, but Mommy did the math this year and it didn’t work out in our favor. Toddler + Puppy + Home All Day = No Tree. And, since Daddy has been SO busy, we haven’t gotten our holiday stuff from the basment storage unit to set up. Yule time FAIL.
We have ONE decorative touch up so far:
That’s my felt menorah – all of the candles and flames have velcro backing so I can participate in Hanukkah without worrying about setting my jammies on fire. The only reason we have a picture of it at all is because we are scheduled to be Day 8 in Dr. V’s 12 Days of Petmas.
So really, we shouldn’t be hosting a virtual party at all…. luckily we don’t have to! Nicci, over at Changing the Universe has a holiday home tour that will be open all month for you to link to (I’ll add the hop to the bottom of this post for convenience sake) AND you should go check out The Nester’s Christmas Tour of Homes – but only if you really want to feel inadequate, because WOW.
Please drop me a comment if you do NOT have a homemade wreath on your door and hand-painted elves on your bookcases – there have to be more holiday losers out there! We’re making a pledge to do better for New Year’s, starting with our New Year’s at Noon Baby/Toddler Party – look for that recap post because it is going to be the bash of the year!

You totally don't fail at life! Heck, I don't have 1/4 of the stuff going on as you (Since Mason stays relatively in one spot when I put him down LOL) and I still miss days that I intend to blog! And plus, I think dual sickness exempts you from any responsibility to anything but getting better, anyway!
I'm so going to link up, hopefully on Thursday. My house, while not nearly as festive as usual, is still covered in 3000 penguins. And those must be shared, no? But then again, I still haven't take Mason's 9 month pictures, which I intended on doing last Friday. And oh, do you want to come finish the 70% of my Christmas shopping that is still left to do?? *sigh*
I'm a total holiday loser this year! I did manage to get my tree decorated last night, and Brian got the outside decorations done a couple weeks ago, but that is it. I'm just so busy right now, it was hard to get into the spirit this year, which makes me sad. I'll do better next year…I have a whole year to prepare, right? LOL
