We are SO ready for a fresh start this January, but the turning of the clock from 11:59PM on 12/31/11 to 12:00AM on 1/1/12 did not really prove to be a magic-miracle answer.
Daddy went to the wedding of a close friend – which Mommy was *supposed* to go to also, but she’s still stuck on bed rest, so we spent the night over at Grammy Boo and Coach’s. I went to bed early, and Mommy had a good time eating hors d’oeuvres and playing Taboo… She was having a perfectly nice evening, right up until I woke up after vomiting at 11:45PM. Still, though, that would only have been a fitting eulogy to 2011. After a change of jammies, a drink of water, and some new sheets, I went back to sleep.
Only to wake up to throw up twice more at 12:15AM (all over Mommy). So much for a great start to our happy new year! I woke up every 2 hours over night with upset tummy, before sleeping a good 4 hour stretch from 6:30 to 10:30 AM.
So. That wasn’t the best evening ever.
I haven’t had any additional episodes since early Saturday morning, though, and we successfully ended 2011 without Squishy joining the family too early so we’ll call that a win… and now Mommy is ready for her any time.

Ugh – it's that wonderful time of year again! Matthew, me and my husband have been sick for a few days as well and I'm praying it skips over Noah!
ugh feel better Cole! We had a PJ party at our friends house (who have a 1 year old). It was nice and quiet evening.

Let's just pretend that 2011 wasn't officially over until you slept it off. Mommy hadn't went to bed yet, so it was still 2011. That sounds good, right?!!?
YAY for Squishy being a 2012 baby!!! Great job surviving bed rest so far, my friend! You're doing a great job, even if it doesn't feel like it!
Man…I know so many families that were hit with a stomach bug over the last week. Poor Cole! I hope all is well now and no one else got it…that is the last thing you need right now!
I'm crossing my fingers that my kids can stay well for at least 2 more weeks so I don't have to postpone Rylie's birthday party again this year!

I stayed up til 12:01 and then promptly put on my pjs and went to bed, lol. I hope 2012 looks up for you soon, Cole — just think, soon you'll have a brand new baby sister!!!
