#57 – 1000 Awesome Things

Membership

We all know how much I love Stepping Stones, right? And the Bronx Zoo? Mommy and Daddy are supergeniuses because we have family memberships to both – and they have paid for themselves over and over again.

They don’t *just* give you the benefit of free admission to your home institution – although that alone offers a freedom to visit for a little while and leave guilt-free when my toddler-sized attention span is all used up – but they also off additional perks.

This vacation? We are using our memberships for everything they offer to go on some budget-friendly adventures!

On Friday, Mommy and I went to Stepping Stones with Max and Michele.

We got free admission for all of us, free parking, AND a discount in the cafe, where I ate my body weight in fruit and chicken fingers. Woot, woot!

Our membership at Stepping Stones allows us access to participating children’s museums AND science museums around the country.

So on Sunday, our trip to the Please Touch Museum? Free.

And, yesterday? When we wanted to do *something* before heading home from Philly, but needed to leave early enough to pick up Henry from Camp Bow Wow? We spent a happy hour and a half exploring the Franklin Institute. For free.

On Thursday, Mommy and Daddy and I will be visiting the Central Park Zoo – admission is included with our Bronx Zoo membership… which means we’ll save enough to have lunch at Alice’s Tea Cup first. Yum!

  1. Memberships with perks are the best. We are thinking about heading over to the Please Touch Museum over spring break….looks like a lot of fun.

  2. Camp Bow Wow is the best name ever!

Cole riding the swan is sooooooooooo adorable!! And is he stealing food from a goose trying to eat out of a hole in a tree in the photo below?? (I'm guessing not)
