A Meme for Monday

Happy February! It was *really* cold here this weekend, so we didn’t get to go on any big adventures. I did get to go see BOTH sets of grandparents! Grammy and Coach had us over on Saturday night for a “Januaryfest” meal of wursts and sauerkraut, and Grandma and Grandpa had us over on Sunday for yummy pasta fagioli and pizza; too bad all I had was formula and more formula. Everything looked delicious, but Mommy says I can’t eat until I can sit up by myself and I’m still a litle wobbly. I told her I can sit up by myself, but she said less than 30 seconds doesn’t count….

Since I don’t have any good stories to tell, I found this meme on Bluehappybunny Rantings:

1. What is your favorite sport to watch?

I liked watching the Yankees win the World Series with Daddy, and I’m looking forward to the Super Bowl, even though there aren’t any local teams in it, but my FAVORITE is watching ski jumping with Coach. He has a special channel that has winter sports on all the time and he says that I should work on my leg strength so that I can go skiing next year. Mommy says I should concentrate on crawling first, but she’s just trying to hold me back.

2. What phobias do you have?

I’m not really afraid of very much; sometimes Daddy makes a funny noise and startles me and Mommy says all babies are afraid of falling, but I’m brave! Sometimes, if Mommy tries to leave my line of sight for more than 12.8 seconds, I’m scared that she’s never coming back, but I don’t know if that qualifies as a phobia.

I’m terrified of one of my toys, though… Daddy got me a cute little lion that clips onto my carseat handle and is really soft and cuddly. He vibrates when you pull on him, which is kind of cool – but then he roars and it is the scariest thing in the world!!! I’m working on getting used to it because I kind of like to nom on his face, but it still startles me every once in a while. [Mommy’s Note: The lion in question does not, in fact, roar. It says “roar, roar” in a cute little kid voice that you would never in a million years think was scary…]
3. Do you play any instruments?

Not yet! I come from a very musical family, though; Daddy teaches guitar and bass, and is trying to learn more violin, and Mommy played viola and xylophone in high school and college. I have a set of maracas and a little bongo drum, but I haven’t started playing them yet.
I’ve been making so many online friends that I thought it might be nice to ask you the same questions; if you have a blog, feel free to respond in your own entry and add your link to the list. If you don’t have a link to add, leave a comment below with your answers!
